GORDURA CORPORAL, CIRCUNFERÊNCIAS CORPORAIS E PRESSÃO ARTERIAL SÃO PREDITORES DE RESTRIÇÃO DO FLUXO SANGUÍNEO PARA TREINAMENTO FÍSICO COM OCLUSÃO VASCULAR EM IDOSOS.

RESUMO
O método de oclusão vascular tem sido eficaz na melhora de diferentes sistemas afetados pelo envelhecimento. É necessário cautela na aplicação prática para reduzir os riscos do uso indevido. Objetivamos predizer o percentual de restrição do fluxo sanguíneo para treinamento físico com oclusão vascular em idosos. Trata-se de um estudo transversal quantitativo, com 250 participantes (idade 65.7 ± 5.1 anos), sendo 45.6% (n=114) sexo masculino e 54.4% (n=136) sexo feminino. Avaliamos a composição corporal, antropometria, circunferências corporais, pressão de oclusão total com doppler vascular, pressão arterial de repouso. Após testar o modelo de regressão de árvore de decisão, as variáveis com melhores resultados para predizer a pressão de oclusão total dos sujeitos foram divididas em membros superiores e inferiores, com valores de R = 0.900 e R² = 0.81 e de R = 0.843 e R² = 0.71, respectivamente. Sugerimos a partir deste estudo, que para predizer a pressão de oclusão total em idosos, as variáveis que devem ser levadas em consideração para membros superiores são o percentual de gordura, dobra cutânea do bíceps braquial, circunferência da coxa e a pressão diastólica, enquanto, que para os membros inferiores são o percentual de gordura, circunferência da coxa e a pressão diastólica.
